About

Hello!

My name is Abbey. I am 21 years old, working at The Historic Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado as a Tour Ambassador doing history and ghost tours. I have been riding dirtbikes since I was 7 years old and currently racing the CORCS series and starting to look at colleges around me. But first, here’s a little bit of background to how I ended up here in this gorgeous mountain town of Estes Park.

I was born in Galveston Texas but was shortly uprooted to Dallas at the age of 2. We hopped around a few places in and around the Dallas area until I was about 5 or 6. I was living in Highland Village at this time, attending McAuliffe Elementary School.  Fast forward to 8th grade. I’m going to school at Briarhill Middle School. The end of the year is coming up fast, and I’m slowly getting ready for High School. But things took a bit of a change when my parents sat me down one day and said my dad had been offered a job in Longont Colorado. I’m sure my parents were expecting me to panic and argue about this, but we had visited Colorado almost every summer for the last 8 years now. I was so excited for this! I quickly texted all of my friends, telling them we were moving to Colorado!! We soon packed up and got in the car to head to Colorado in search of housing. After driving around Longmont very frustrated for a few hours we decided we would just drive up into the mountain. We ended up in Nederland. Where I very soon noticed a girl walking her pet GOAT down the road! I was in love. Not long after this adventure we had a house in Nederland and we were ready to move our lives to Colorado! I said goodbye to my friends and I have been in Colorado since 2009 now. After completing high school I made the adult decision to move out on my own while my parents moved to Estes Park to start their business adventure in a more touristy town.  After a year of living two hours away from my parents, having a boyfriend move in thinking it would last forever, and months later finding out that it was most definitely not going to last forever, buying a dirbike and struggling to pay rent, I decided it would be best to move back home with my parents in Estes Park.  A year later I am still here and that is where the story all begins..
